It's not easy to achieve that perfect "top of the backswing" position. In fact, it's nearly impossible unless you have the freedom (and strength) in your shoulder area.

You see...there is a physical requirement in your shoulder area to get that perfect position at the top. This requirement is what us fitness professionals call external rotation of the shoulder.

I have evaluated hundreds of senior golfers who cannot physically get the appropriate rotation in their shoulder to "allow" that top of the backswing position.

So what's that mean?

It means the above golfer will NEVER achieve this desired and much needed position in their golf swing. I will say that again. NEVER!

...UNLESS...you address the underlying physical limitation which is really easy.
