Golf Stretching On The Course
Golf stretching on the course may sound odd…but it is critical if you want to maintain a “tension-free” golf swing with power for 18 holes!
How many times have you started off great…but on the back nine your drives get shorter and shorter, and your accuracy starts slipping? If you’re honest with yourself…this happens frequently. The reason could be a number of things…but one thing for sure…muscular fatigue and tightness set in.
Two things to counterbalance this is fueling your body throughout the round with quick snacks such as nutrition bars and fruit; and doing some golf stretching exercises on the course.
If you are losing range of motion on your backswing…stretch the muscles that are used, such as the back of the lead shoulder and lat muscles on that side. If you are not getting to the top of your backswing…stretch the muscles in your shoulders to maintain width and a full swing. If you are having a hard time maintaining your golf posture…stretch your hamstrings.
With a little golf stretching “on the course”, you’ll be a new and improved golfer!
