Training Exercises For Golf

Written By

Training exercises for golf are much different than for any other sport and for ‘general health’ as well. Golfers need to work their golf muscles in certain ways to get the most benefit. The golf swing is a dynamic and sequential movement that cannot be replicated by other sports training approaches.

Training exercises for golfers incorporate balance, stability, coordination and golf-specific functial movements.

Just take a look at the position your body is in to make a golf swing. It’s not natural and if your body is tight and weak…you won’t be able to maintain this position (golf posture). So the ONLY way to improve your golf muscle strength and flexibility is getting in that position as much as possible with all your training exercises and stretches.

It’s a “no-brainer!”

To train for golf, you’ve got to be a golfer. Same body positions and movements but with resistance for the strength aspect; and “hold and release” movements for the flexibility component.
