Golf Exercise Workouts To Play Your Best Golf
Golf exercise workouts are a must if you want to go into the season in “golf shape”. Look at it this way! If you were getting ready to start a sport season…say football or basketball…would you want to “get in shape” to play your best? I would think you would.
The same goes for your golf game!
You’ve got to stretch and strengthen those golf muscles so they are prepared to perform the way you want them to. If you don’t, then you shouldn’t expect much in return. You’ll have a very slow start to the season. In fact, it may take you “all season” to finally get it back!
These golf exercise workouts can be as simple as a few stretches and strength exercises for core rotational power and flexibility. Since the main movement in golf is a turn (rotation) back and a turn(rotation) through…train your core to be able to do this efficiently and you’re way ahead of the game!
Also, take a look at your previous or current swing faults. In there lies a physical limitation causing it. For example, the “over-the-top” banana ball move. On cause of this is lack of trunk rotation flexibility (and strength).
On the downswing your trunk (core) has to be strong enough and flexible enough to be able to separate the lower body from the upper body and start down “first” with the lower body. If it isn’t, you’ll instantly start with your upper body causing an “over the top” move.
This can be avoided with some simple stretching and strengthening exercises for your core. This is just one example of how “your body” is the cause of the swing fault. So incorporate a golf exercise workout as soon as possible!
