US Womens Amateur At My Home

I turned on the US Womens Amateur tournament yesterday and kept staring at the course on the television. I kept telling my wife that’s got to be Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club. Low and behold it was.

Even though I now reside in Scottsdale (got tired of all the rain), Oregon is still home and Pumpkin Ridge is where I used to play a lot of golf. Now it is over $100 per round in the summer (ouch!).

One cool thing is my father-in-law helped in the development of both courses at Pumpkin Ridge. My brother-in-law lives just a “stones-throw” from the course. You could walk there in 5 minutes. I just wish my father-in-law still had connections to get me in the for free:)

Man do some of those girls have good golf swings. Their technique is equally as good as their guy counterparts.
