Powerful Golf Impact: Do This Dynamic Hip Stretch

Being able to get to impact with your hips slightly open usually entails a stretch to get loose enough to do it.

This is an area of the body that most senior golfers are nearly locked up. Arthritis of the hip joints is a big culprit, but it’s also a killer to golf swing power and distance.

Senior Golfers Take Notice

It’s vital if you are in that age demographic (50 and above) you stretch this area to slow down the degenerative process that you know is happening. This (outside of surgery) is your only chance at enjoying your golf, and eliminating hip/joint pain. And, it’s effective!

Stretch While You Watch Golf On TV

When you’re watching golf on TV, there are so many things you can do to improve your flexibility specific to golf. Whether you do it during the televised event, or during commercials it doesn’t matter.

As you can see in the pictures, I’m doing a golf stretch to improve my hip rotation at impact. I have never seen this stretch done in any book, but it’s just one of many effective stretches in my golf stretches dvd.

I’m grabbing a club in my backyard, but you can do the same thing with a high back chair (I have an invisible one so you can see the stretch better. Get in your golf posture. Now rotate your hips as much as you can as if you were swinging powerfully through impact.

Keeping your shoulders square by having your hands on the chair, and also maintaining your golf posture, really get those hips as far around as you can, then hold it for maybe 5-10 seconds and repeat a couple of more times.

Do It Several Times

Do this very unique and effective stretch several times throughout tournament while watching on TV, and watch what happens next time you go play…you’ll instantly feel more power through impact.

This is exactly what the pros look like at impact, and so can you!

No More Excuses

I hope I’m showing you how easy and simple it is to stretch throughout the day. Don’t sabatoge yourself by saying you don’t have time. With this stretching approach to better golf, you can get in a dozen or more stretches during the day and not blink an eye.

Pain Gone – Power Increases

The great thing will be the pain that disappears, as well as the power you gain in your golf swing. I’m confident you’ll be blown away with a few days of doing this type of golf stretching.
