Simple Exercises In Your Home
To Get You Crushing Your Drives

Nearly every golfer wants to hit longer drives, but most of them don’t achieve it. Are you happy with your driving distance? If not, you should consider resistance training that’s specific to golf.

I’m not talking about weight training like you see in your local gym, but what I am talking about is simple, easy, and effective golf exercises at your home.

Tubing Resistance Training

One of the most affordable and portable pieces of resistance equipment you can use for golf is resistance tubing. This is the rubber band looking stuff with handles. This is fantastic as you can attach it to a door and actually make golf downswings, as well as backswings, which will strengthen all your golf muscles to enhance your driving distance.

You can also do a lot of core rotational exercises that will really build up your long drive muscles. The versatility of this piece of equipment is what makes it my number one pick for golf training programs.

Dumbbell Training

My second choice for golf training equipment is dumbbells. They are quite affordable and portable, and all you need is a couple of pair to be able to complete a golf training program.

Being able to use each hand independently is very import to be able to work all ranges of motion that are specific to your golf swing.

Exercise Ball Training

You’ve seen these before. The big beach ball that people sit on in front of their computers, and for most people gather dust in their garages. If that’s you, blow off the dust and put it to good use.

The great thing about an exercise ball is all the core stabilization work you can do on it. This can be in tandem with dumbbells, tubing or even weighted medicine balls. And, if you spend a lot of time in front of a computer, this ball should be your chair, as it strengthens all your spinal erector muscles, as well as lower and upper back muscles, which will greatly benefit your golf swing by improving golf posture.

Medicine Ball Training

The medicine ball goes back hundreds of years, and even today, plays a major role in the training program of most tour players. They all use these medicine balls for again, core work, as well as swing work. Doing “wood chops” is very similar to your golf downswing, but by training with a heavy medicine ball, you are developing explosive muscles, specific to the motion of the golf swing.

3 Minutes A Day For 30 Days To Increase Your Drives 20 Yards

I hear time and time again, how golfers say they are too busy to do a golf exercise program. I’m not hear to call BS on that, but instead tell you about a unique, golf training ebook that has one golf-specific strength or stretch movement a day for 30 days.

If you’ve been following me for a while, you’ll see a common theme. There is no excuse not to work on your golf swing “off the course” like any other athlete would do in their respective sports.

Golfers who want to improve their golf swing, must consider strength training programs. You shouldn’t be scared that it’s going to ruin your swing. That’s “old school” thinking. I want you to realize how much your physical capabilities dictate your potential in golf.

Now I want you to take a look at the picture below. This is NOT what I want you to think when it comes to weight training for golf. There is so much “undue” stress on this guys joints it’s not even funny. We’ll never have you doing this.

Instead of blowing blood vessels (and ligaments), I want you to picture doing simple golf exercises with dumbbells (hand weights), exercise tubing, and a fitness ball. That’s your entire home gym. Yes, you heard that correctly. All of the programs I’ve put together are designed to be done in the comfort and privacy of your own home, with minimal and inexpensive equipment mentioned above.

I believe in training the body specific to the sport (movements required) you are doing. So in this case, the golf swing. I have put together dozens and dozens of exercises and stretches that enhance power and distance. And…they’re fun too!

I have spent 10 years educating golfers on the physical aspect of the golf swing. Many golfers play with an injury, causing them poor results in score and even power. Do you play with aches and pains? If so, what do you think causes them? Do you think the golf swing is potentially abusive to your body if you’re weak, stiff and broken?

If one of the fittest golfers in the world (Tiger Woods) gets injured, what makes you think the average golfer, especially senior golfer won’t. Odds are they will, and will continue to until action is taken to strengthen and stretch muscles specific to your golf swing.

If any golfer thinks that being somewhat physically fit for golf is not advantageous, then I don’t know what planet you’re on. When was the last time you saw an unfit guy win on tour? Rarely ever! There’s a reason why. Don’t be in denial. Don’t be part of the masses of golfers who shun fitness, as you will also be among the masses who plays hurt all the time, and also watches your game decline year after year.

Can I ask how your golf season went? Did you see improvement, or where you about the same as the year before? In golf, we all strive to do better, but as statistics our handicaps are not going down. With the off season coming near, it’s time to diagnose our swing inefficiencies and implement a golf swing training program during the winter months, to shoot you into next season with lower scores and longer drives right at the start!

The focus of your winter (off season) golf program should be technique, golf swing strength and flexibility. That combination will dramatically improve your driving distance and even consistency. From now on I want you to think of the golf season as your time to prepare your body for the “next season”, not just a time to put the golf clubs away and forget about golf.

Like all other athletes in EVERY other sport, they all train in the off-season, so why wouldn’t a golfer do the same? It’s common sense to get better, you’ve got to put some “off the course” time in to see the results on the course. Doesn’t that makes sense?

Here’s where a shameless plug comes in

I know you’re time is limited with family obligations, and the holidays, but what if I told you, you could do a simple, easy and fun golf training program “in your home” with just a couple of pieces of very inexpensive exercise equipment in just a couple of minutes a day? Would you be interested? I think you would!

Click on the BIG image below to find out about my INSTANTLY downloadable golf training ebook that has simple golf exercises, easy golf stretches and programs you can do in the comfort of your own home.

I”ve been working on my swing relentlessly for the past week or so. My mishit is a toe shot, and it’s driving me crazy. One of my main issues is my golf swing transition from the top. I guess I would be termed a “hitter” and not a swinger, therefore my upper body (especially arms) are too active when I start back down, causing my swing sequence to be out of order, not allowing me to get to and through impact in the correct positions.

I was really trying too hard with my arms, creating not only tension which slows clubhead speed, but making my upper body more dominant during the initial part of the downswing. This caused a whole host of issues with my swing, that resulted in the above mentioned toe shots, a lack of hip rotation and clearing through impact, a raising up out of my spine angle at impact, and a slight flip of the hands causing an early release through the ball.

With all that being said, I am now initiating my downswing with an emphasis on lower body weight shift/rotation and more importantly PASSIVE arms. I feel like my arms are now along for the ride, as opposed to them dominating my golf swing. This will take me some time to ingrain, but with my commitment to practice, I know I will get this, and have already seen some positive results on the practice range.

So when you are making your golf swing transition, and you want the proper sequence coming down, think passive arms, and a lower body shift/rotation. I think it will help you.
