Had a trainer~
I worked with a trainer twice a week for 6 months hoping to improve my distance. No luck! I got your training manual and immediately started doing some of your golf-specific core exercises and have already seen a slight increase in distance. Lets do the math; I spent $2400 ($50 a session); and your manual is $60. I have to do it on my own (without a trainer), but I'm more motivated now seeing all your golf exercises and stretches in there.
